High-level panel: Small businesses giant players in pursuit of SDGs at European Development Days (EDDs)

On the occasion of the 2017 edition of the European Development Days (EDDs), the ACP-EU Development Minerals hosted a highlevel panel titled: Small businesses giant players in pursuit of SDGs on 08 June 2017 in Brussels, Belgium. The packed auditorium seating 540 participants drawn from global institutions in Development Cooperation discussed how to mobilize the small-scale private sector, particularly in neglected economic sectors such as the mining of Development Minerals. During the panel discussion, a short video was projected conveying the experiences and perceptions of four women with small businesses active in the Development Minerals sector. The video provided insights into their vision for their business and the challenges that small entrepreneurs, especially women, face.
