Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the African Guarantee Fund for for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (AGF) and the ACP-EU Development Minerals Programme.

An event commemorating the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the African Guarantee Fund (AGF) and the ACP-EU Development Minerals Programme took place after the EDDs panel discussion on 08 June 2017 in Brussels. Under the MOU, AGF will make available US$12 million in credit guarantee facilities to financial institutions in Cameroon, Guinea (Conakry), Nigeria, Uganda and Zambia in connection with loans provided by these to small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) working in the ‘Development Minerals’ sector, utilizing the guarantee facilities. UNDP and AGF further agreed to hold joint training on Inclusive Finance in Zambia, Uganda, Cameroon, Guinea (Conakry) and Nigeria targeting credit directors, risk managers and risk analysts in the Financial Institutions.
