Cameroon Training of Trainers (ToT) Workshop on Environment, Community, and Health and Safety in the Development Minerals sector

The Cameroon Training Workshop on Environment, Community, and Health and Safety was held between the 13th and the 16th of December 2016 in Limbe. The workshop was attended by thirty-three participants from the two (2) English speaking regions of Cameroon. The workshop was a unique opportunity to engage with operators, artisanal miners and related institutions and exchange views on strengths, challenges and possible areas of improvement in the environmental, community, health and safety issues related to the extraction of a selected number of Development Minerals, notably: quartzite, sand, gravel, crushed stone, sapphire, kaolin, pouzzolane, basalt, salt, marble/limestone.
