Fiji Training Workshop on Environment, Community, Health and Safety in the Development Minerals sector (Environmental Impact Assessment – EIA)

A day-long workshop on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Licensing processes, and the newly promulgated Mines and Quarries Act was undertaken in Labasa, Northern division on 25th July 2017. 18 participants comprised of quarry operators, resource owners and quarry licensing agents took part in this workshop, that endorsed and validated the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Licensing Procedures for hard rock quarrying.
