Uganda National Consultation Workshop on Development Minerals

Around 75 key stakeholders congregated at the Uganda National Consultation Workshop on the 30-31 August to draw-up the roadmap for the multi-year implementation of the ACP-EU Development Minerals Programme in Uganda. Remarks were made by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development; H.E Ambassador Kristian Schmidt, Head of EU Delegation to Uganda; an address by Mr. Viwanou Gnassounou, Assistant Secretary-General, African Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (by pre-recorded video); Ms. Rosa Malango, UNDP Resident Representative; while the key note address was delivered by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Uganda - Hon. Eng. Irene Muloni.
