Curricula Sprint on Environment, Community, Health and Safety: Request for Applications 

Maputo, Mozambique

The ACP-EU Development Minerals Programme is undertaking a 3 day Curricula Sprint to develop tailored curricula on Development Minerals for independent and onward delivery by Universities, vocational training centres, research centres and business development organisations. The curricula will be collaboratively refined, tailored and developed for the relevant settings and target audiences. The first edition of the curricula sprint will encompass the following three modules: Module 0: Introduction to Development Minerals; Module 2: Environment, Health and Safety; Module 6: Community Relations and Conflict. The 3-day event will be held in Maputo, Mozambique from the 7-9 of April with up to thirty (30) training and teaching professionals competitively selected to attend the event.

Priority for sponsorship will be given to nationals of the participating countries of the programme. Sponsorship will include travel, accommodation and daily subsistence (travel and health insurance is the responsibility of the selected candidate). Self-sponsored participants are also eligible to apply to attend. Please see details below.

Participants from the following professions are eligible to apply:

-    Universities, vocational training centers, research centers
-    Business development organisations and associations involved in training
-    Mining and quarrying associations involved in training
-    Civil society organizations (CSOs) as well as Community Based Organizations (CBOs) involved in delivering training
