From 10 to 15 November 2025, experts from 18 countries met in Livingstone, Zambia, to co-write a new regional handbook for artisanal and small-scale mining. The week brought together government representatives, practitioners and partners to build practical guidance that will help make ASM safer, more professional and more sustainable across the continent.
