Training in Eco-Friendly Construction, Belabo, Cameroon

In November 2024, a week-long training workshop in communes of Belabo and Bertoua, in the East region of Cameroon, equipped young entrepreneurs with skills in smart, eco-friendly building construction with compressed earth bricks (CEB) and equipped solar power. Organized by the Programme, the training covered CEB production, construction techniques, and solar power technology. The workshop established a business incubator at the Government Technical High School Belabo and the foundation for a demonstration low-carbon building. This initiative aimed to address housing and electricity shortages in disaster-stricken regions of Cameroon and promote ecologically intelligent building solutions in the Belabo area.
