The Development Minerals sector in Cameroon is largely driven by artisanal and small-scale miners. This sector plays a key role in the national economy by creating jobs, reducing poverty, and improving livelihoods in mining communities. The Programme supports and empowers ASM miners through targeted initiatives. Examples include sand mining in Belabo and dimension stone mining in Mora, located in the East and Far North regions of Cameroon.
