From May to July 2025, over 380 artisanal miners – 53% women – took part in hands-on health, safety, and environmental training across Singida, Dodoma, Morogoro, and Tanga. Delivered by the ACP–EU Development Minerals Programme with the Mining Commission and a local NGO (FADev), the trainings strengthened local capacity, promoted safer mining practices, and empowered miners as champions of sustainable change.
