In August 2025, 180 young people in Uganda (115 men and 65 women) took part in employability trainings to strengthen their business and job skills for the mining sector. Held at Kabale, Gulu, and Busitema universities, the sessions equipped youth with practical knowledge in financial literacy, business planning, formalization, and sustainable mining, supporting job creation and youth-led innovation in Uganda’s mining industry.
